NOAA Weather Gadget Forecaster for OSX Dashboard
We just found this rather interesting little weather gadget for OSX - the NOAA Weather Center widget. If you're running on a Mac with OSX Tiger, you can install this little wonder. It has 4 main areas to explore once you enter your zip code or city and state: Forecast, Current, Radar, and Alerts. So far we've been using the Radar and Forecast - but they seem to be a little out of sync with our Ambient Weather Beacon, but it could be in the details.
The NOAA weather is very detailed and on the Forecast you'll see a set of little pictures that are very realistic and portray the weather with photos. The Radar portion is also really nice and has a small movie that shows doppler info. We can't currently get the Current weather to work - seems like a data issue on their end, but the Alerts seem to function and hopefully their won't be any for our area any time soon.
