Enjoy The Northern Lights Without The Northern Part

Aurora Palette

Having grown up in Northern Maine, we used to see the northern lights every other year or so if the conditions were right. We have to say, when you see them it's amazing and different each time. If you aren't going north and aren't up for the colder weather , Japanese company Banpresto has found a way to package the spectacle into a device that can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.

The Aurora Palette projects an “aurora borealis-like” lighting effect onto your walls or ceiling that will supposedly create a relaxing mood in the room. It’s powered by 4 AA batteries which should keep it running for a good 20 hours and the projector head can even be angled and swiveled for aiming where the light show hits.

The Aurora Palette is available from AudioCubes.com for $55.
